This “guide” was developed to provide Harvard parents with important topics to think and talk about with their children as they become teenagers. It does not provide the answers. Rather, it attempts to provide the questions that each family should answer for themselves as their children mature, helpful tips, and resources to which parents can refer. It was originally created for use in New York State. Wayland modified it for their needs, and we have received permission to modify it for ours. We would like to thank the Wayland PTO for giving us permission.

A small group of Harvard parents and school personnel have been modifying the document for use by our community. The goal is to make this an effective resource for Bromfield parents. We have split the document into sections to make it easier to access areas of interest. Please review the guide, and when you've finished, help us by filling out our short survey. Your feedback is important to us, and will help us to improve the guide.

As you read the sections, think about what you feel might be missing or how a section might be improved, then return your opinions to us in the survey.
